Websites Need Domains

So I finally broke down, decided this site was complete enough to need a domain, and bought one. I always wanted to have some cool domain that related to my work and was memorable but I never came up with one that I really liked. Many times I busted out the thesaurus and made lists of possible domains, checked their availability, and said "Hmm, maybe I should register that one some day..." Those days came and went and I never really committed to any of them. So like most out there I registered my name (what's cooler than chuckaksamit.com anyway) and linked accounts to and from it. Now go! Enjoy my new shortened URL and update your bookmarks!

LinkedIn Profile

I came across LinkedIn the other day while playing with some new search engines like Spock and was kind of intrigued by how professional it was. So I signed up and found past co-workers, friends, and family that already had profiles (thanks for telling me guys). Anyway, my profile can be veiwed here. I also added a permanent link to it on my about page.

Early 2007 Collection

Just a note to announce the addition of another section of photos. Kind of uneventful but throughly enjoyable nonetheless.

More Projects

As I rush through my first summer out of college I found a few spare moments to add some of my recent work. I've added roughly eight new projects under web design and one under print. Check them out and enjoy!

Added Category

As this site progresses I'll probably be adding new categories for my work and not just new work. Today I added a digital art section which is going to be started off with my final project for 3D Modeling; a Japanese dining area.

The Fall 2006 Collection

The Fall Collection

I've updated my photos with some of my personal favorite shots of this year. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

The Site Announcement

Just like every new site layout here is the 'Hello World' message. Welcome to my new layout and updated portfolio. My photos will be updated shortly, I need to look through a couple thousand shots and find a few good ones. ;) Until then you can check out my recent web development and print work sections through the links above.

Hi, my name is Chuck Aksamit. I live in Fargo, North Dakota but grew up next door in Minnesota. Designing interfaces and modular systems usually tends to make my day. I'm a media junkie on the side.
